Better than Fiji
Families return to Pinetrees every year because it’s safe for kids to enjoy a level of freedom above and beyond other holiday destinations. There are no snakes, poisonous spiders, box jelly-fish or crocodiles. Imagine! High energy daytime activities combined with early kids’ dinners and a babysitter (if you want one) are some of our secrets to a happy family holiday.
Everybody's happy
Your kids will soon meet up with other kids, forget about social media, and rediscover the fun and adventure of swimming, snorkelling, bike riding, beach-combing and exploring. They can even watch Gower Wilson milk the cows. Meanwhile, parents get a break from shopping, cooking and cleaning, and enjoy relaxing dinners together, or with new friends.
Amenities
All of the rooms and cottages are located away from the main lodge, with access via hardwood boardwalks and paved pathways. The main lodge has our restaurant, BBQ deck, bar, pool room, and lounge with comfy couches, magazines, newspapers and a library with over 300 books – you’ll spend most of your time eating, drinking and chatting around the main lodge.
Food Destination
The trick, we now know, is to balance the calorie credit with calorie debit, so guests at least feel a bit better. You’ll still put on weight. The hotel is not a health farm. But if you at least walk to Kims Lookout for one of Australia’s iconic views, or swim along Blinky Beach with schools of salmon, or snorkel Erscotts Hole over dazzling coral gardens, or ride a bike to Cobbys Corner for a BBQ lunch, you’ll earn your next meal. That’s the secret to surviving a food destination.
and how to get there
Lord Howe Island is 600 kilometres east of the Australian mainland. Lord Howe is alone in a vast area of ocean on the boundary of the Pacific Ocean to the north and Tasman Sea to the south. It’s nearest neighbours are New Zealand to the southeast, Norfolk Island to the east, New Caledonia to the northeast and the Australian mainland to the west. You can fly to Lord Howe Island with Qantas from Sydney and Brisbane. NSW is open!

CENTRAL ASIA, I’LL BE BACK! Central Asia was on my bucket list for years but I was reluctant to travel alone and my partner did not want to go. I found World of Discoveries most helpful in arranging my age/gender travel companion in our small group tour in October 2019. Everything run smooth from inquiry to farewell dinner in Nur-Sultan The tour was good value for money. Most meals included and great. Lots of local experiences. Great people on tour, helpful guides. I would love to return to explore more of Uzbekistan and would love to visit Tajikistan (that was not part of the tour). Yurt experience was just amazing. Such a great scenery and heartily people.

Georgia in autumn! We had a wonderful trip - one that will stay with us for a long time. Everything was so well organized. All our guides were very informative, and accommodations were just fine. Pre-tour service was very good too and we had travel a lot. My husband’s grandparents are from Georgia and we wanted to explore family routes. All our guides were great in terms of looking after us and they really were so interesting to speak to. Altogether, we had a wonderful time and I would love to explore more of the region and visit neighboring counties.

Thanks you Abby and Varvara and all the other staff members of World of Discoveries for making our stay in Russia over 2 and a half weeks easy, comfortable and memorable. Thanks for the great organisation with transfers and accommodation. Thanks also for organising a phone sim card for each one in our group. It made our life much easier to stay in touch with each other and with our family and friends back home. We loved our stay in Russia and will certainly come back soon.

Trans- Scandinavian train tour on a private, September 2019 I’s looking for a train trip around Scandinavia and found it was not widely available option with many operators. Mostly, they do coach tours or cruises. World of Discoveries was the first company which offered a solution, a privately arranged non-escorted train trip tour for our small party of just 6 people. We are experienced travelers in our early 40th and always want to be immersed in the culture of a new country, eat local food, meet the people. We wanted an authentic experience and it was a great trip all round. We did not have to worry about our accommodation, or train tickets, or activities in various locations. We had our transfers to and from hotels pre-arranged. Guides provided great insight into Scandinavian culture and were undeniably helpful as we all had different ideas about spare time and extra activities. We went out at every visited city and they gave us lots of great recommendations. Could have stayed for more! Would love the same experience when we visit other, less traveled and remote parts of the world with World of Discoveries! Me and my family just returned from an Easter break to Moscow. I found the tour very good value for money and the company's assistance with the visa application was also helpful. Reservations, payment, visa letter, and pre-departure correspondence prior to trip (via email) was prompt and well explained with no problems. Final arrangements information were detailed. We knew exactly what to expect, who will be waiting for us, time and venue to meet even with any guides with us. Transport transfers and driver were punctual.
